I’ve been working with and learning about conflict since 2008. I’ve worked in mediation, community dialogue facilitation, conciliation, education, and conflict management. In my spare time, I’m a potter, a gardener, and a volunteer.
I’m an accredited mediator and Family Dispute Resolution provider with Resolution Institute (NZ), and hold national mediator accreditation (NMAS) in Australia. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Peace and Conflict Studies) and a Master of International Studies (Peace and Conflict Resolution) from the University of Queensland.
In Australia, I worked as a community dialogue facilitator for the Peace and Conflict Studies Institute of Australia, and was appointed to the community mediation panel for the Queensland Government’s Dispute Resolution Centre in 2014. Since moving to New Zealand in 2015, I’ve worked as a senior conciliator at Utilities Disputes, an educator for the Sexual Abuse Prevention Network, and as a facilitator for community consultation processes. I’ve recently starting working with Fairway Resolution as a family dispute resolution provider.
In late 2017, I started Reframe Aotearoa in response to the need for accessible and affordable conflict services in the community, social enterprise, not-for-profit and small business sectors. Check out the ‘Our Vision’ page to learn more about the vision for Reframe Aotearoa.
Associates and collaborators
Right now, Reframe Aotearoa is just me – Tim. The organisation is going to grow, and I’d love to hear from people who are interested in helping to shape the future of conflict services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
I’m open to all opportunities and possibilities, including referrals, collaborations, project ideas, and coffees. I particularly want to work with people who are interested in making conflict services and skills more accessible and relevant to the wider community.
